“The world has come a long way toward the realization that HIV/AIDS is everybody’s problem. In Los Angeles, no one has worked harder or more effectively than the Entertainment AIDS Alliance to address this growing challenge by providing grants for urgent social services…and by raising funding and awareness in an industry that is uniquely positioned to bring this disease to the attention of the world.”

 –  Steve Tisch, Academy Award Winning Producer & Chairman of the New York Giants

ABOUT

ABOUT

Honorary Board.png

Entertainment AIDS Alliance (EAA) raised over $5.4 million for 175 national and community-based organizations that provide client services to people living with HIV, institutions that conduct research for AIDS treatment and prevention, and advocacy groups that help shape public policy relevant to HIV/AIDS care.

It is with deep gratitude that we thank the Entertainment Industry, private donors, and our friends for supporting the Entertainment AIDS Alliance as a seminal force in the fight against AIDS.

Established in 1989, EAA was a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded by Industry professionals responding to the urgent needs of AIDS organizations nationwide.  During its 25+ years of dedicated service, it brought together the public and private sector, clinicians, and service organizations across the country, enabling them to develop and deliver treatment, education, and value-based care.

Since phasing-out our operations, several of our former officers have continued to advise on HIV/AIDS initiatives including the UNAIDS “90-90-90” initiative to end the AIDS epidemic by 2030.  As AIDS’ greatest threat to public health exists in the developing world, we encourage individuals to learn more about UNAIDS’ ongoing global strategy.
